We want to make sure you see this because we want you to be there to thank the people who made the perfect site for YOUR new library happen.

I simply must tell every poochie pie and putter nutter that something big (well, bigger than me) is a-coming in September. I sure hope this fancy contraption works. If it doesn’t, I’ll have to run around all of Ridgefield and yap, yap, yap the news. Trust me, no one wants that.
What? I paid my registration fee, and the gal who called me said it was a Scramble. I scrambled to get this ball after some human batted the thing way out here. I’ll give it back when I’m finished. Cross my paws and hope to slobber.

There’s no room for guilt when eating is this much of an adventure!
Go ahead.
Have seconds…or thirds.
That’s when your (and our) favorite downtown Ridgefield Italian restaurant is hosting a fundraiser to help raise money for the Ridgefield Community Library.
Vinnie’s Pizza, Pasta and More will be donating 10% of the proceeds all food and drink sales (eat-in or take-out) to the library building fund! As a bonus, the generous owners of Vinnie’s will donate another 10% to equal 20% cash-back to YOUR wonderful library!
So bring your appetites!
And know that by having a delicious meal, you will be supporting your community in two ways:
If that doesn’t want to make you grab another slice of pizza and raise it in a toast for our awesome community, I don’t know what will!
This should be a great time for everyone. Ridgefield is full of pizza party animals!

I LOVE spicy stuff! Just look at me. But how does this silent auction thing work? I mean, I’m flexible and want to give it go, but I need details!
How does it work?
Every month, the Friends of Ridgefield Community Library host a Silent Auction to help raise money to support current library programs and the new library building fund.
We rely on the generous donations of our members or the public for the items which are usually valued anywhere from $25 to over $100 dollars. The auction lasts the entire month. You must come into the library to see the item, to place your bid on the bid sheet and to see if you’ve been outbid. The person with the highest bid at the end of the month wins the item and will be contacted at the end of the month.
Sure! Everyone is welcome to trot on down to the library. But pace yourselves because we’re still a little library until we expand into a BIGGER, BETTER library with YOUR help!
Okay, okay. I know I have to be quiet in the library. But I’m not idling. No siree! I’m no idler. I’m taking a good, long look at this BBQ basket being silent-auctioned off in July. And I’m fixing to bid on that bad boy.
Go-o-o-o-o-ly! How in tarnation did I miss that? Well, sure as shootin’ I know now, an’ I’m goin’ ta hoof on down ta the library…if Sarge lets me. Hey! Maybe Sarge’ll want ta go? Go-o-o-o-o-ly! That’d sure be swell.
An Ode to BBQ: BBQ, I love you. Thinking about you makes me drool. I’m pretty sure I need more tools. BBQ, I love you.

WOW! How do I get in on this action?
As always, thank you for your support of the Ridgefield Community Library. Only YOU can help a new library happen. Well, you and lots of others like you. Hey, I’m just a poster bear, and “they” make me say stuff that isn’t always logical but has an important message nonetheless.
Take a few deep breaths, Patrick. We know you’re all jazzed up about telling your compatriots about the BIG news coming out of Seasons in Ridgefield. But don’t be so melodramatic, especially about tea. One should be mellow about tea. So let us take over and announce the scoop about Liberty Blend Tea, okay Big Guy?
Yes, Good People of Ridgefield, we are serious about our tea. We are serious about hats. Our hair? Not so serious about that. Oh, and we are not Sharon and Earleen, but would seriously love to try this Liberty Blend of which they speak.
Hip hip, jolly good! A percentage of what I purchase goes to a charitable cause? I shall drink to that.
Why aren’t more people here? Oh! It says Saturday, June 9th from 9 to noon. I told you, Milly, Friday at our afternoon naptime was probably not the best time to sneak away. But the Liberty Blend tea is yummy!

This is Ridgefield, a quiet city filled with decent, hard-working, law-abiding citizens in need of a new library to keep literacy high and crime low. This is my partner, Bill Gannon and I’m Sargeant Friday. Today we’re working the Volunteer Squad. We’re going to use straight talk, serious eyebrow action and some discretionary finger-pointing to give you the facts. Our facts. The only facts that matter.
Yea. So how about being a part of making that new library happen? Look at me. I love talking with folks about books, making new friends and taking people’s allowance, um, donations, but my parents have this thing about knowing where I am, like, ALL the time.

Um…er…either this fashion senseless guy is fishing for his dinner or he’s fishing for attention. Either way, he’s welcome to come to our fundraiser on Thursday, June 7th as long as he brings a hearty appetite. Some pants would be good, too.
We’ll see you at 3PEAKS! We just have to stop to fill ‘er up. Golly gee! When did gasoline prices get higher than $0.20 a gallon?

Don’t worry. My dollies are used to sharing. My mommy says I’m a super-duper tea server. Wanna see?

When these gals switched from coffee to tea, they calmed right down. Their cackles became melodic laughs. Their brooms became household (not transportation) items. And they used their hats to guard against the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays (not for really bad traffic cones or for scaring kids or for making them look kinda silly).
