Drop off a bag or two of like-new, used books at the Ridgefield Community Library.

We have a group of dedicated volunteers who meet every Tuesday morning to sort donations and pack them in boxes ready for the bookstore or our next large book sale.

 We appreciate your donation!

Guidelines for Donating Books

Friends of Ridgefield Community Library IS CURRENTLY ABLE TO ACCEPT DONATIONS OF BOOKS ONLY (including audiobooks on CD).

The items must be clean and in like-new condition. Hardback fiction books should have their dust jackets. We are unable to accept books that smell of smoke or are dirty, water-damaged, mildewed, or in otherwise poor condition. Other items that we cannot accept include worn paperbacks, older or incomplete encyclopedia sets, cassette tapes, spiral-bound books, excessive copies of the same title, magazines, and technology books that are out of date. NO TEXTBOOKS!

Non-fiction and cookbooks are those least likely to be purchased.  We have limited storage space available, and need to be very selective in the books we accept and offer for sale. Please do not drop off large numbers of books at one time.
